Description of No. 40 Filter Paper:
Hawach No. 40 filter paper is an ashless filter paper with pore sizes of 8μm and has undergone special treatment procedures, which can effectively resist chemical reactions. so fewer impurities are generated and can be used for quantitative analysis. Other air filter paper is used to test suspended particles in the air, and fiber filter paper for different industrial applications.
Features of Hawach No. 40 Filter Paper:
- Ashless filter paper for conventional filtration.
- No.40 8 micron filter paper, the pore size same as qualitative No. 2 filter paper, used for specific gravity analysis, filtration of solutions before atomic absorption spectrophotometry, and sampling in air pollution monitoring.
- In the manufacturing process of HAWACH No. 40 quantitative filter paper, the pulp is treated with hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid and washed with distilled water to remove most of the impurities in the paper fiber, so there is little residual ash after burning, which has little effect on the analysis results, suitable for precise quantitative analysis.
- A medium flow rate can retain medium particle size.
- Thickness(mm): 210
- Basis Weight(g/m2): 92
- Product Appearance: Smooth
- Particle Retention: 8.0μm
- Ash Content(%): < 0.007
Application:
- 8 micron filter paper is an ashless filter paper for general purposes, the main uses include gravimetric analysis.
- Solution filtration prior to atomic absorption spectrophotometry.
- Monitoring of air pollutants.
- Multi-component gravimetric analysis of cement, clay, steel, and stainless steel products.
- Is the primary separation medium for the separation of solids from aqueous extracts in soil analysis.
- Filter paper for quantitative analysis of milk sediment.
- Pure analytical filter paper for sample preparation.
- No. 40 filter paper can also be used to collect trace metals and radionuclides in the atmosphere.
HAWACH also produces the No. 113 wet-strengthened filter paper with 30μm pore size, the fastest flow rate.
