Description of Laboratory Filter Paper:
Hawach laboratory filter paper is usually qualitative and quantitative filter paper, which has good permeability to gas or liquid and is suitable for chemical qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis experiments respectively. All pore sizes are provided:8μm,11μm, etc.
Description of Qualitative Filter Paper
Qualitative filter paper produces more cotton fibers after filtration, so it is only suitable for qualitative analysis. The gram weight is about 82 g/m2. Divided into fast, medium, and slow.
Information of Qualitative Filter Paper
HAWACH qualitative filter paper corresponds to the number of Whatman.

Description of Quantitative Filter Paper:
Quantitative filter paper is similar in appearance to qualitative filter paper, and its gram weight is 100g/m2, but its internal quality is much higher than that of qualitative filter paper.
The most important thing is that after the quantitative filter paper is burned at a high temperature, the residual ash content should not exceed 0.007% so that the weight of the filter can be accurately obtained during analysis and measurement without causing errors. At the same time, quantitative filter paper is also divided into fast, medium, and slow.

Likewise, the quantitative filter paper of HAWACH corresponds to the number of Whatman.

Filter paper is paper that selectively retains particles from a fluid suspension. The most common filter paper in life is used together with filter funnels in the laboratory. Fold the filter paper into a suitable shape before use. The higher the folding degree of the filter paper, the larger the surface area it can provide, and the better the filtering effect.
HAWACH SCIENTIFIC is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the research and development and production of laboratory filtration consumables. Among them, chemical analysis filter paper, syringe filter, and filter membrane are three major series of leading products. Among them, the chemical analysis filter paper series covers qualitative filter paper and quantitative filter paper.
Use of HAWACH Laboratory Filter Paper:
- When using filter paper in the laboratory, first fold the filter paper in half, twice in a row, into a 90° central angle, which is the shape of a funnel;
- Fold the folded filter paper into three layers on one side and one layer on the other side to form a funnel;
- Put the funnel-shaped filter paper into the funnel, the edge of the filter paper should be lower than the edge of the funnel, pour some water into the mouth of the funnel to make the soaked filter paper against the inner wall of the funnel, and then pour out the rest of the water and set it aside for use;
- Place the funnel with filter paper on the funnel holder for filtration, place the beaker or test tube that receives the filtrate under the funnel neck, and make the tip of the funnel neck rest on the wall of the receiving container;
- When pouring the liquid to be filtered into the funnel, hold the liquid beaker in the right hand and the glass rod in the left. The liquid flowing into the funnel should not exceed the height of the filter paper in the funnel;
- When the liquid passes through the filter paper and flows down the neck of the funnel, check whether the liquid flows down the wall of the cup to the bottom of the cup.
- Otherwise, the beaker should be moved or the funnel should be rotated so that the tip of the funnel is firmly attached to the wall of the beaker, so that the liquid can flow down slowly along the inner wall of the beaker.
Laboratory filter paper must be operated in strict accordance with the usage specifications.
